INN UPON MOON RIVER PLANTATION

Inn Upon Moon River Plantation is a 1904 Southern plantation home in Chester, South Carolina. The inn operates as a living museum dedicated to blues and jazz music, with memorabilia from the owners' former Florida club displayed throughout the common areas and each guest room. Outside, a waterfall flows into a pool used for baptisms, and the front porch offers seating for morning coffee.

Each of the four guest rooms is themed after a famous blues or jazz artist and includes a private bathroom. Rooms like the Memphis Room offer king-size beds with luxury sheets, and all rooms have air conditioning and free WiFi. The historic building features original wooden floors and a wraparound porch.

A full Southern breakfast is served each morning on vintage fine china in the dining room. The breakfast includes Dave's blueberry pancakes, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, muffins, yogurt with berries, and fresh orange juice. For dinner, Vinny's Taste Of Italy, located nearby, serves authentic Italian cuisine with vegetarian options.

The inn hosts live blues and jazz concerts, including performances by jazz pianist Rogue Johnsen. Evening entertainment also includes themed dinner nights and walking tours of local culture. Guests can use the fitness room, attend yoga classes, or relax in the garden with an outdoor fireplace.

The property is 74 km from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and a short walk from downtown Chester's emerging shops and restaurants. Nearby attractions include St. Anne International Festival (37 km) and White Homestead (46 km). The grounds feature a garden, an outdoor fireplace, seating areas, and the waterfall used for baptisms.
